SNAIX walking bike kiddy

Adjusting the nic SNAIX walking bike kiddy:

Adjust the height of the saddle so that your child can easily touch the ground with the complete soles of his or her feet with slightly angled knees. The handlebar should be at a height that allows the arms to be held roughly horizontally. Test whether your child feels comfortable in this position and check the adjustments regularly.

First tries:

As soon as your child is able to pick up the SNAIX kiddy from the ground, it is capable of riding it, too. There is no need for long explanations, just let the child try and watch what he or she does with it. Children are masters in learning, and you strengthen this possibility by letting them do. Normally, they find out rather quickly how the device can be moved and steered. Mind that your child is really sitting on the saddle and not on the link.

Rolling:

Push forward off the ground with left and right foot in alternation. The more smoothly the feet roll off from toes to heel, the easier and faster your child will go.

Steering:

The easiest way to steer the SNAIX kiddy is with back and bum. As soon as your child has understood this knack, he or she will ride around with it as jauntily as with any other vehicle, too.
But with the subtle distinction that this walking bike trains sense of balance, stimulates the physical and mental development, strengthens the back and makes your child’s movements all in all more secure and sportive.

In case your child needs a helping hand:

Let your child sit on the SNAIX kiddy with the hands on the handlebar ends and move the bike’s link from left to right. The child will feel the new kind of movement and reproduce it independently soon afterwards.

Braking:

The SNAIX kiddy is braked with the feet. Please take care that your child can always stop from the speed it produces and wears appropriate shoes.

Handling and maintenance:

The SNAIX kiddy is of robust built and made of high-quality products and therefore can stand quite a lot of wear and tear. Wipe the bike down with a dry cloth regularly and use a nurturing wood agent if it has been soiled.

Avoid any intensive exposure to water!

Please mind that the protective caps at the handlebar ends are always in place. They prevent injuries in case of a fall. Missing caps should be replaced at any rate.

Mind that the quick release skewers are always correctly fastened. Not too loosely (turn in the screw a bit) and not too tightly (turn screw looser). To adjust the height of seat or handlebar, the lever should only be clicked open and close – do not turn to fix it.

The bearings are self-lubricating. There is no need to oil the axles. Should the link squeak after longer use, a drop of oil should do the trick. If the squeaking results from the wooden parts of the link, use some soap powder or wax.

The tires should always contain only so much air that the weight of the child slightly flattens them.
The allowed maximum air pressure is 3 bar.

The allowed maximum weight for the use of the SNAIX kiddy is 35 kg.

Indoor and outdoor:

The kiddy can be ridden indoors as well as outdoors: the thick, pneumatic tires and the upholstered seat provide comfort even during a ride over bumpy paths or stones. Please take care that your child is not riding along or on any streets unsupervised.

SNAIX kiddy fun:

The ideal SNAIX kiddy playground is a big courtyard or a street where children are allowed to play in. Here, you can create a SNAIX kiddy parcours with very simple means – also for competitions:

Put up slalom handicaps (old cans e.g.) at regular intervals, draw a big circle and a huge 8 on the ground with chalk for the children to ride along. An exercise for advanced little SNAIXers is the see-saw, which you can build by means of a brick and a wooden bar of ca. 30cm x 1m 20.

The appraisal factors can be speed as well as accuracy (exact or especially beautiful riding along the figures, no knocking over of handicaps etc.).

And the children can create their next parcours themselves with a lot of fun!
