||
| A lateral (left/right) curvature of the spine that may occur in the thoracic or lumbar segment of the spine. Scoliosis may occur in 3 ways: as a congenital condition noticed at birth usually related to a defect in the vertebrae or fused ribs; as a paralytic or musculoskeletal disorder resulting from paralysis of muscles due to polio or muscular dystrophy (a group of disorders characterized by progressive muscle weakness and loss of muscle tissue); or other causes (stress, psychic, etc.) that can be reasons for the development of scoliosis. Scoliosis is characterized by dramatic dysbalances of the muscle tensions right and left of the spine (the so called "long muscle structures"). Therapies have to focus on the reduction of these tensions and on the even balance of the muscle tone between right and the left. SNAIX training offers these effects – even with short training units (~15 minutes each). The fluent, swinging training pattern relaxes the long muscle structures in the back and by neuronal triggering stabilizes the spine with the "Multifidii" muscles system (small, deep muscles right next to the spine - they are the ones for this job). |
