Snike Sport GmbH gets WERKBUND label 2006 for outstanding innovation

The "Deutscher Werkbund" was founded in 1907 in Munich by a group of outstanding architects and artists, who in the following years created the "Bauhaus" style of modern architecture, built several outstanding housing projects in Germany and Austria and founded some schools of arts and architecture in Germany.
During the Hitler years "Deutscher Werkbund" did not exist. After the war some of the old members started the new group and the memberships expanded into fields like politics, engineering, philosophy, literature, media, ecology etc. The "Deutscher Werkbund" is not linked to professions but concentrates on interdisciplinary discussion and projects with strong reflection of social and educational aspects.
With this Innovation Label Deutscher Werkbund wants to push ideas and projects that are innovative, promising to manage future tasks, ecologically sound, socially engaged and with high respect for mankind and nature. The label can not be applied for and it is awarded every two years. |
